This is the Seaflower on exhibition in the A4 Show at the Unitec Pitch Black Gallery. I’m delighted with the shadowing it produces. It is made from woven Bull kelp, tissue and wire. Using the kelp was a lovely experience. A very inspiring medium, it is strong and flexible and sets hard. Unfortunately it pongs while drying, like old, wet dog, so needs to be outdoors and in sunshine until it dries thoroughly. |
